Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development, Luke Mutter manages Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago’s relationships with corporate and third party companies.

He is responsible for creating and expounding upon the innovative products and services in the firm’s portfolio that offer significant benefits to our agents and their clients. One example is the firm’s relationship with QuickBuy®  which follows the IBuyer model and offers clients a secure, reliable alternative to a traditional home sale and connects home sellers to cash in as little as 14 days.

Additionally, Mutter manages the BHHS Chicago Libertyville sales office located at 100 N. Milwaukee Avenue. There he serves more than 65 agents who specialize in the north shore, north suburban and southeast Wisconsin real estate markets. The Libertyville agents offer expertise in single family home sales, new developments, luxury properties, commercial properties and horse properties.

Mutter understands the needs of relocating families, with first-hand experience moving 15 times in 25 years across Europe and the United States. Following a successful career in management consulting, Mutter began his career in residential real estate and was named a 2018 Rising Star by Berkshire Hathaway HomesServices Chicago and a 2018 Rookie of the Year by the North Shore Barrington Board of REALTORS® (NSBAR). Mutter has served as a Director of NSBAR, and has been consistently recognized for sales achievements since his first year in the business. He went on to serve as the Assistant Manager of the firm’s Lake Forest and Libertyville offices before becoming the Managing Broker of the Libertyville office.

Mutter, a father of three, lives in Lake Bluff. He speaks French and German and loves F1 racing, rugby, running and cycling.
